  1. Page 85, lines 4–5 in footnotes (left column);*For reprints and all correspondence:
    The name and address "Epidemiology Division, National Cancer Center Research Institute, I-1, Tsukiji 5-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104" should be corrected as "A. Hanai, Osaka Cancer Registry, Center for Adult Diseases, Osaka, 1-3-3, Nakamichi, Higashinan-ku, Osaka 537, Japan."
  2. Please use the enclosed seal for this correction.
  3. Page 85, line 1–4 in footnotes (right column):
    The sentence "The Research Group for Population-based Cancer Registration in Japan has been estimating cancer incidence in Japan every year since 1975. The incidence for 1984 was estimated in 1988." should be moved prior to the 1st line (left column) on page 82; at the top of this article.
  4. Page 83, the 4th line (left column):
    The sentence "In 1988, all of the 18 participating registries presented incidence data for 1985. The population covered by these registries was 51,530,000 corresponding to 43% of the total population of Japan." should be inserted between the 3rd and the 4th lines on page 83 (left column) as the last paragraph in Data Collection.
  5. Page 82, Table I, Male:
    1. 1st line, all sites, age 0-, 1.2 should read 11.2.
    2. 8th line, gallbladder, age 55-, 11.5 should read 11.7.

  6. Page 84, Table II, Male:
    4th line, stomach crude incidence rate, 189.4 should read 89.4.
  7. Page 85, Table II, Female:
    16th line, ovary, (ICD-9). 1930 should read 1830.
