The Research Group for Population-based Cancer Registration in Japan estimated cancer incidence in Japan in 1995 based on data from nine population-based cancer registries: Yamagata, Chiba, Kanagawa, Niigata, Fukui, Osaka, Hiroshima City, Saga and Nagasaki.
