Formula

Among the 109 original papers published in 2007, the Editorial Board selected the following paper for the award and announced on October 29, 2008 at the JJCO 22nd Editorial Meeting held at the 67th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association, Nagoya. The Editorial Board members and Oxford University Press congratulate the authors of their fine work, and wish that they will continue to submit their findings in the Japanese Journal of Clinical Oncology.

  1. Among the original articles published in issues No.1 to No.12 of volume 37, Oxford University Press listed the top 20 papers with the highest number of internet downloads of their PDF version during the first 6 months after online publication. At the same time, Associate Editors nominated the best papers that were published in volume 37. A total of 32 papers were nominated.
  2. Associate Editors voted for the best paper(s), at most three, from among the nominated 32 papers. 5 papers with top votes were selected for final evaluation.
  3. Editor-in-Chief and Editors selected the final winner from the 5 papers selected in step 2.
The purpose of this award is to promote excellence of research in clinical oncology, and to honor outstanding papers published in Japanese Journal of Clinical Oncology.
